For Selection: 50 mM NaH2PO4, 50 mM NaCl, and 20 mM imidazole (pH 8.0) for 1 hour on a rotisserie shaker For Binding Affinity: 1% fish gelatin, gentle shaking for 1 hour
95°C for 10 minutes followed by a 10 minute incubation at room temperature
Shown to bind specifically to the H3 subtype compared to recombinant HA proteins from other subtypes.
Binding region located at residues 8-40. At 2.5 uM, completely inhibited agglutination of turkey red blood cells in presence of 16 HA units/50 ul.
