Mouse Transferrin Receptor (FB4) (ID# 7816)

RNA
Mouse Transferrin Receptor (mTfR)
Protein
N/A nM (reported value)
RNA binding buffer (20 mM NaPO4, pH 7.4/120 mM NaCl/2.5 mM KCl/0.12 mM MgSO4/40 mM Hepes, pH 7.4)
RT°C
NA If the oligo is a known aptamer sequence: For binding studies, perform a refolding protocol to ensure proper function (i.e. binding to antigen or target). Refer to the aptamer reference source for the appropriate refolding parameters and binding conditions. Note: it is unknown whether aptamer functions properly without refolding.
Does not bind to human TfR cells.
The RNA aptamer-streptavidin conjugate was mouse-specific. Human cells needed to first be transfected with mouse transferrin receptor in order to be taken up by human cells. The FB4 aptamer does not inhibit transferrin suggesting that binding is not competitive.
