Lysozyme (Apt 80) (ID# 7821)

DNA
Hen egg white lysozyme and recombinant human lysozyme
Protein
2.8 nM (reported value)
Binding Buffer: 25 mM trizma base, 192 mM glycine, and 5 mM K2HPO4, pH 8.3.
25°C
NA If the oligo is a known aptamer sequence: For binding studies, perform a refolding protocol to ensure proper function (i.e. binding to antigen or target). Refer to the aptamer reference source for the appropriate refolding parameters and binding conditions. Note: it is unknown whether aptamer functions properly without refolding.
Tran et al. found good specificity against BSA, ovomucoid, and ovotransferrin in capillary electrophoresis assays.
This is the original 80-mer aptamer developed by Tran et al. against hen egg white lysozyme. See also the 60-mer truncated version (Apt 60) in the related aptamer section.

Zou et al. used fluorescence anisotrophy to measure standard recovery of recombinant human lysozyme (expressed from rice). Their results were comparable to a human lysozyme ELISA kit.
